# Billing

> Upgrading, managing your subscription, and cancelling.

Pro is **\$12/month**. See [Plans and limits](/account/plans-and-limits) for what
that includes.

## Upgrade

From **Billing** in [app.heymcp.dev](https://app.heymcp.dev). That takes you to
Stripe Checkout; your plan updates as soon as the payment completes.

Your Pro entitlements apply to **new** sessions. A tunnel already running keeps
the retention window it was stamped with when it opened — restart it to pick up
the 7-day window.

## Manage your subscription

The **Billing** page links to the Stripe billing portal, where you can update
your payment method, download invoices, and cancel.

## Custom domains

Pro includes **one** custom domain.

The backend can grant more — a Pro subscription's Stripe quantity above 1 adds
one extra domain per unit — but there is no self-serve way to buy them yet. Get
in touch if you need a second.

<Note>
  That quantity is **domains, not seats**. HeyMCP has no team model, so raising it
  never adds users. See [No teams](/account/plans-and-limits#no-teams).
</Note>

## Cancelling

Cancel from the Stripe portal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've
paid for — the plan doesn't drop the moment you click.

When it does drop:

* **Existing history is not deleted.** Retention was stamped at session
  registration, so sessions opened while you were on Pro keep their 7-day
  window.
* **New sessions get Hobby limits** — 24-hour history, 3 concurrent tunnels, no
  custom slug or domain.
* **Custom domains stop being usable** for new tunnels. The DNS records are
  yours; nothing is deleted at your registrar.

If you want a copy of anything before it ages out, [`heymcp export`](/cli/export)
takes it with you.
